Hi, I'm lacey

I've been photographing Jewish events, holidays, and simchas in the DC area for the last 9 years, but my all-time favorite thing to photograph is B'nei Mitzvahs!

In 2014, I had no idea that an assignment for Washington Jewish Week would open the door for me to become the main freelance photographer for Washington Hebrew Congregation in DC and Temple Rodef Shalom in Virginia. Working for these congregations taught me so much about Jewish traditions and the amazing community in our region!

Before long, parents began asking me to photograph their children's Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. With a background in photojournalism and wedding photography, making the transition to B'nei Mitzvah photography felt like a natural next step, and I haven't looked back since!

I love capturing this important milestone for families, whether it's portraits on the bima, a hug from a proud grandparent, or a group of kids singing their hearts out on the dance floor.

My Approach

letting moments unfold

When I arrive with my camera, my mission is to document your simcha in a journalistic style that is both beautiful and unobtrusive. The end result is an intimate collection of pictures that tell the story of your child's celebration from start to finish.
